Description:

Come and find yourself in the Great Karoo. Let this jewel of majestic mountains and breathtaking expanses fill your soul with deep appreciation to be a human on this earth. In the process, encounter more than 40 wild animal species, more than 100 bird species, and a selection of flora that will fill you with awe.

Game animals, to whom these plains and mountains are home make the Great Karoo an outpost of nature where man's intrusion is still but a light touch. Here many species of game are found: Hyrax, Mountain Zebra, Springbuck, Wild Ostrich, Guinea fowl, Egyptian Geese and Lynx. Bird life is abundant. The endangered Black Rhinoceros and the Riverine Rabbit have also been re-established in the Karoo
