Description:

Big game hunts in Zimbabwe

A block of private land, and communal land bordering Hwange National Park and Matetsi safari area. Situated between Vic Falls and Hwange. Camp is 50km from Vic Falls airport. With approximately 50 000 hectares for hunting. We have one main camp in this area. -Hwange National Park has an overpopulation of elephant which in turn spills into neighbouring areas, elephant trophies range from 35-45 lbs tusk weight with the odd exceptional trophy taken. The Hwange/ Matetsi area is also known for quality sable, leopard and buffalo. Eland, kudu, warthog, waterbuck, bushbuck, impala, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest are present in huntable quantities. Being private land hunting at night for cats is allowed. This area gets 1 male lion permit per year due to a very healthy population in surrounding area, good quality lion are taken. Crocodile and hippo are hunted in the Manjolo communal area, between Milibizi and Binga with 100km of lake Kariba shore line. Elephant and buffalo are also found on the shore line but very little plainsgame. This area is two hour’s drive from our main camp at Matetsi east and due to the size of the area is usually hunted out of a fly camp.
